The U.S. News and World Report ranks the AE School as No. 1 among publicly-funded institutions.

The Daniel Guggenheim School of Aerospace Engineering (AE School) is ranked No. 2 in the nation (tie) for its graduate aerospace engineering program and No. 1 for publicly-funded institutions, according to U.S. News and World Report’s 2025 Best Colleges rankings. This marks the second consecutive year that the AE School has held the No. 2 spot.  

“We are incredibly proud to be recognized as one of the top aerospace engineering programs in the country,” said Mitchell Walker, AE School chair and professor. “Our outstanding students, professors, staff, and research engineers have driven us forward with their commitment to innovation, and ensuring we remain at the forefront of aerospace engineering.” 

The College of Engineering ranks No. 4 for its graduate programs. Every graduate engineering program at Georgia Tech is ranked ninth or higher, marking the 14th consecutive year that all engineering programs have ranked in the top 10 nationally. 

Last fall, the U.S. News and World Report’s 2024-2025 edition of the undergraduate program placed the AE School in the No. 2 spot nationally, No. 1 amongst publicly-funded institutions.
