Join Dimitri Mavris, Ph.D., at the 2025 Graduate Education Summit on Monday, November 10, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the John Lewis Student Center, as he leads a spotlight session titled “The ASDL Academy: Building a Community of PhD Scholars — Reflections and Lessons Learned.”

As Regents’ Professor and Director of Georgia Tech’s Aerospace Systems Design Laboratory (ASDL), Dr. Mavris has cultivated a doctoral ecosystem centered on collaboration, mentorship, and well-being alongside technical excellence. In this session, he’ll share how the ASDL Academy model combats isolation and fosters meaningful connections among PhD scholars—building stronger research outcomes and holistic student development.

The Summit’s 2025 theme, Championing Graduate Student Success: Building Holistic Support Systems for Research, Career, and Well-Being, highlights the importance of community, support, and innovation in graduate education.
